Update from 3/22/2025
We’re excited to introduce new teams for the upcoming season:
Girls 14UBLK
Girls 16UBLK
These new teams will join our existing Girls 18UBLK team. Additionally, we hope to launch a Boys 18UBLK team if enough athletes show interest. Currently, interest has been strong for our Girls 14U team and moderate for our Girls 16U and 18U teams. However, we need more sign-ups for the Boys 18U team to become a reality, and additional athletes for the 16U and 18U teams to potentially form two separate teams in each age group. Please spread the word and encourage interested families to register or join our email list.
Registration Opens April 1st!

Facility Update & New Partnership with TM Fieldhouse

Unfortunately, our previous facility at Aldersgate Gymnasium has been sold, and the new owners will not allow rentals during their extensive construction project. This significantly impacts our Open Gyms and Tryouts schedule. We are actively seeking a more affordable, temporary location—if you know of any available facilities, please let us know.
In response to losing our previous gym, we've secured a partnership with TM Fieldhouse, located at 1550 SE Hamblen Rd, Lee's Summit, MO 64081. Visit TM Fieldhouse
TM Fieldhouse is a brand-new facility providing excellent opportunities for our teams. Due to expanding from one team last year to potentially four teams this season, overall facility costs will rise significantly—from around $2,000 last year to over $20,000 this year. Last year, we only had the 18U Girls team practicing two days a week. This year, our 18U team will have three practices weekly. Additionally, the Girls 14U and 16U teams will each practice two days per week, and the Boys 18U team will also practice three days per week. We will also hold scrimmages between teams, such as 14U vs 16U, 16U vs 18U, and potentially Girls 18U vs Boys 18U if schedules permit.
About Our Teams – Travel (BLK) and Future Local Teams
Currently, all teams are designated as Black Teams (BLK), focusing heavily on competitive tournaments, both in-state and out-of-state. These tournaments typically stay within one state away from Missouri but do require travel and occasional overnight stays. Tournaments are essential for our program, providing higher levels of competition and valuable exposure to other highly competitive homeschool teams. Athletes on Black teams will experience rigorous training, including advanced skills development, strategic gameplay, and physical conditioning designed to prepare them for competitive play and potential collegiate careers, should they choose to pursue that path.
Please check out the potential tournament schedule for our Black (BLK) teams to get an idea of the schedule intensity (Note: Teams will not participate in every listed tournament, but this will give you an idea of the commitment level during the season):
In the future, we plan to introduce Blue teams (BLU), primarily focusing on local tournaments and regular-season games, providing competitive play without extensive travel or financial commitments. Additionally, White teams (WHT) will be introduced as developmental squads aimed at foundational skills training, fundamental volleyball education, and limited local competition, likely remaining at the 14U level. This structured approach ensures athletes at all skill levels have appropriate opportunities for growth and advancement within our program.

Why Choose Outlaw Volleyball?
We understand there are several local volleyball programs available at lower costs. However, Outlaw Volleyball distinguishes itself by providing comprehensive physical and mental training, top-level coaching, and substantial tournament competition. Our athletes are trained for competitive excellence and are thoroughly prepared physically and mentally for collegiate opportunities if they choose to pursue them after high school.
We operate transparently and closely resemble a non-profit, clearly outlining all expenses, including facility rentals, equipment, uniforms, tournament fees, insurance, referees, coach travel, and administrative costs. Funds not used immediately are allocated into dedicated accounts to support future needs. All staff members are volunteers, although our coaches do receive paid hotel stays and some travel expenses, reflecting our appreciation for the extensive time and effort they invest in our athletes. Because we are not affiliated with a religious organization, we do not have access to external funding sources available to many other local homeschool clubs. This independence ensures minimal outside interference but results in higher overall costs, explaining why other local teams can offer lower fees.
We emphasize clearly that our primary goal is volleyball excellence, not the promotion of any one religion. While we fully respect and support individual beliefs, and coaches may occasionally pray with players or teams, our program’s central focus remains volleyball skills, leadership development, and building lasting friendships. While our staff may hold their own personal beliefs and doctrines, we do not believe it is our place to promote or encourage your child to participate in those beliefs or doctrines. These matters are beyond our scope as team sports facilitators and are best handled privately among athletes, parents, and their religious leaders. We encourage athletes to express themselves authentically, within reason.
