Embracing the Outlaws' Core Values: A Reflection on Leadership and Character

Having served as a US Army Soldier, I was instilled with the Army's 7 Core Values, which have become an integral part of my character for life. The Outlaws' core values deeply resonate with me, as they too are woven into the essence of our organization. These values reflect the fundamental principles that have molded my character and leadership abilities. The acronym LDRSHIP—loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage—serves as a beacon, guiding not only our team but also individuals aspiring to embody authentic leadership across all facets of life.

Loyalty: Loyalty is not just about allegiance to a team or cause; it's about unwavering commitment and dedication. It's standing by your teammates through thick and thin, supporting them, and upholding the values and mission of the Outlaws with steadfast loyalty.

Duty: Duty is a solemn obligation to fulfill one's responsibilities and obligations. It's about doing what needs to be done, even when it's challenging or requires sacrifice. Every member of the Outlaws understands their duty and strives to fulfill it with excellence.

Respect: Respect forms the foundation of our interactions within the Outlaws community. It's about treating others with dignity, listening to different perspectives, and valuing diversity. Respect is the cornerstone of effective teamwork and collaboration.

Selfless Service: Selfless service is putting the needs of others before your own. It's about serving the team, the community, and the greater good with humility and compassion. Outlaws exemplify selfless service both on and off the playing surface, making a positive impact wherever they go.

Honor: Honor is the embodiment of integrity and ethical conduct. It's about doing what is right, even when no one is watching. Outlaws carry themselves with honor, earning the respect and trust of their peers and mentors.

Integrity: Integrity is the foundation of trust and credibility. It's about being honest, ethical, and consistent in words and actions. Outlaws uphold the highest standards of integrity, ensuring transparency and accountability in everything they do.

Personal Courage: Personal courage is facing challenges, adversity, and uncertainty with bravery and resilience. It's about stepping out of your comfort zone, taking risks, and standing up for what is right. Outlaws demonstrate personal courage in their pursuit of excellence and their willingness to overcome obstacles.

These core values are not just words; they are guiding principles that shape our character, define our actions, and inspire us to lead with purpose and integrity. They are the foundation upon which the Outlaws' culture is built, fostering a community of leaders who exemplify these values both on and off the playing surface.

As we continue our journey with the Outlaws, let us embrace these core values wholeheartedly, knowing that they not only shape us as individuals but also unite us as a team with a shared commitment to excellence, leadership, and service.
